WHY TO CHOOSE PHARM.D ?

 


After completing our intermediate or college we all have this question in our mind: “What to choose now ?” “ what is best for me ?” “ In which field can I give my best and what profession will give me my best ?”

So, every profession has its own worth; but if you have a thought in the back of your mind that “Why to choose pharmacy” here is my answer to why to go for D.pharmacy.

So, pharmacy is the art, practice, or profession of preparing, preserving, compounding, and dispensing medical drugs.

Pharmacy is a profession for those who love science and maths both, because this involves both logic and quantity.


Reasons this field is worth considering are :

-As medical students after the failure of the MCAT and broken hearts we all face a situation that medicine is all that we need! And medicine is all that we want. we wanted to be called doctors, we wanted to wear white coats. now every field has its own charm but a few fields in our society are overrated for example: MBBS.

Analogously, we give so much hype to MBBS but pharmacy is so underrated. An MBBS doctor is nothing without a pharmacist. If there is no pharmacist to design a dosage form then what would MBBS doctors prescribe to their patients.

Besides this, pharmacy is a field that is not only theoretical but gives you a lot of practice as well. From a studying point of view, students don’t like usually just theoretical studies; so pharmacy is a degree where what you study you do its practical work too.

Pharmacy besides study gives you the knowledge for one’s own life. You would have awareness for you own self you would know the side effects of a medicine, misuse of any tablet, and side effects of overdosage. You could help people around you, you could help others get and stay healthy, you can educate people around you and instruct them for proper usage of medicines and everything aside; you yourself can get the most benefit out of it.

You could pursue a variety of career paths in this profession :

  • Community pharmacy
  • Hospital pharmacy
  • Clinical pharmacy
  • Residence pharmacy
  • Sales industry
  • Government agencies
  • Pharmaceutical research
  • Quality assurance
  • Discover new and effective medications

So, D.pharmacy is a profession you can opt for and is best from every other aspect.
