A Cure to your Sick Heart.
In today’s world, every other person you meet is suffering from depression, anxiety, stress, the feeling of emptiness, and whatnot. The core reason for all these is a sick heart.
We take care of how we look, and what we wear a lot, which is okay to think about but these are the secondary things to look upon. The thing we should ponder upon is are we doing right in life? Is my heart okay?
If my spectacles get broken I will definitely take them to the optics shop to get them repaired. WHY? Because that’s where it was created and only they know how to fix it. If a machine stops working we take it to the company where it was manufactured to get it fixed. WHY? Because they created it they know how to fix that. Then why don’t we take our broken and sick hearts to its creator to heal it, to fix it?
What we do is that we take our sick hearts to the people, which is the wrong address, and we try to find healing there, and then when we don’t find that we feel disappointed, we feel miserable, we feel that no one can understand us. It’s our fault that we expect to be understood, or we expect our broken hearts to be healed by someone who didn’t create it.
If I have created an assignment and it got ruined somehow then Only I know how to fix it in the best manner possible because I know how I have created it, what imperfections it carries, where it is fragile, and where it is strengthened. The same case goes for our hearts too. Only the creator of our hearts “The Almighty” knows the cure for it. Only he knows when it is fragile and when it is in need of anything, he knows before us. What we have to do is just to take it back to him. We can find happiness in things but our heart won’t find peace without him. So sometimes ALLAH makes us feel empty or empty our hearts so that we can fill them with His Love.
“If a heart becomes attached to anything other than Allah, Allah makes him dependent on what he is attached to. And he will be betrayed by it.” ~ Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya.
The peace, cure, healing, bandage, comfort and soothe we find would be only in the remembrance of THE CREATOR, THE ALMIGHTY.
As it is stated in the Quraan, Ar-Ra’d | 43 |
أَلَا بِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ تَطْمَئِنُّ الْقُلُوبُ
.” Verily, in the remembrance of Allah, the hearts find rest. (13:28).
Most of the time we feel sad, grieved, and depressed just because our creator wants us to be back to him, which is a blessing actually.
Another factor that we should look at is that today we don’t have time to reflect upon what we are doing. Why our hearts are not at ease. Take time and sit and just Reflect, reflect on what is actually going on in your life, by reflecting you must find a reason for the discomfort of your heart.
So if you feel lost and empty just know that your heart is sick and it needs to get fixed by taking back it to its creator and reflecting upon what you are doing in life would provide you a reason for your sick heart and not just this, always have TAWWAKUL (firm belief) on your creator. If he has created you then he won’t waste you.
LOVE OF ALLAH, THE CREATOR IS THE POWER OF THE HEART, THE SUSTENANCE OF THE HEART, AND THE LIGHT OF THE HEART.
Ibn Qayyim Al-Jawziyya said:
The heart becomes sick, as the body becomes sick, and its remedy is al-Tawbah (repentance) and protection [from transgression]. It becomes rusty as a mirror becomes rusty, and its clarity is obtained by remembrance. It becomes naked as the body becomes naked, and its beautification is al-Taqwa. It becomes hungry and thirsty as the body becomes hungry, and its food and drink are knowledge, love, dependence, repentance, and servitude.
